The golf polo is one of those garments that has to work harder than it looks. You need freedom through the shoulders for a full swing, fabric that breathes when you’re walking eighteen holes in July, and something that still looks considered when you walk into the clubhouse afterwards. That last part is where most technical polos fall down. They solve the performance problem and forget everything else.

The ones we’ve pulled together here do both. We’ve been looking specifically at collar construction, because a polo with a floppy collar looks sloppy the moment you take your glove off. Fabric weight matters too. Midweight pique and quality moisture wicking blends hold their shape across a full round in a way that cheaper options simply don’t.

Some of these lean more classic, some bring in a bit more colour or pattern. All of them are things we’d wear on the course and not feel the need to change out of immediately after.
