Most men own too many heavy t-shirts and not enough light ones. There is a version of getting dressed in warm weather, or even just indoors in winter, where you want something that sits close without clinging, breathes properly, and looks considered without trying to make a statement. That is a harder brief than it sounds. A lot of lightweight tees fail at the collar, which softens and loses its shape after three washes. Others are cut too boxy or too slim and never quite work untucked. The ones we have pulled together here are the ones that get the small things right. Good yarn, a thoughtful cut, a neckline that holds. They work under an overshirt, on their own with well fitted trousers, or as the base layer that makes everything else look more intentional. Nothing in here is performing. These are the t-shirts that show up, do the job, and last long enough to become the ones you reach for without thinking.
