The raglan cut does something a standard tee cannot. By running the sleeve seam from underarm to collar rather than across the shoulder, it creates a line that fits more comfortably across broader builds and reads as slightly more considered without announcing itself. It is casual, but it has thought behind it. That combination is harder to find than it should be.
What separates a good raglan from a forgettable one is fabric weight and the contrast between body and sleeve. Too thin and it loses all structure. Too heavy and it stops being a tee entirely. The contrast stitching or colourblock sleeve detail should feel like a design decision, not an afterthought. We have been particularly interested in cotton and cotton blend options that hold their shape through regular washing and look like they were meant to be worn with jeans and a decent trainer.
These are the raglan tees we would actually buy. No filler, no compromise.
