Most men own too many bad t-shirts and not enough good ones. That is not a criticism. It is just what happens when you buy without thinking, because a t-shirt feels like a low stakes purchase right up until you are wearing one that fits badly or goes bobbly after three washes and you realise it has let down everything around it.

The ones we have pulled together here are different. We have been looking specifically at weight, because a t-shirt that is too thin looks cheap and too thick looks like you raided a gym kit bag. Fabric matters too. Cotton quality is visible. You can see it in how a t-shirt drapes and you can feel it when you pick it up.

Fit is the other thing. Slightly relaxed through the body but not sloppy. Long enough to tuck if you want to but good enough to leave out.

These are the ones worth spending a little more on.
