Tie Dye Blue White Jacket

Regular readers will know Pontoglio as my go-to Italian mill for velvet, and I was as surprised as anyone when they showed me this fabric. There’s a hint of early 1970s in the tie dye effect, but look differently, and you’ll see clouds on a sunny day. Absolutely perfect over a crisp white shirt for a summer party. We’ve cut it on our more formal block for a chic and flattering look, and there’s a hint of elastine added to the cotton for a gentle stretch.
