Most trousers age badly. The synthetic stuff goes shiny at the seat after a season, the structure collapses, and you end up with something that looks worse than when you bought it. Wool is the opposite. A well made pair of wool trousers picks up the shape of the wearer over time, holds a crease properly, and develops a character that cheaper fabrics simply cannot replicate. That is what we have been looking for here. Trousers that reward wearing rather than punish it. We have focused on mid to heavier weight wools that behave across the year, sit properly with a leather shoe, and do not require a matching jacket to look intentional. Flannel, twill, herringbone. These are fabrics with a long memory. The fit should be clean through the thigh without being slim for its own sake. These are the kind of trousers that become a fixture rather than a phase.
