The problem with most joggers is that they make a decision for you the moment you put them on. They say you are staying in, you are not going anywhere, you have given up on the day. We have no interest in those. What we are after are the pairs that work outside the house without requiring you to build an entire outfit around excusing them. The difference comes down to fabric, taper, and waistband. A quality cotton or French terry with a clean finish and a proper tapered leg reads completely differently from the baggy, pilled alternatives that dominate most high street rails. We have also been paying attention to colourways. Navy, slate, and stone do more work than grey marl ever will. The joggers in here are ones we would actually wear to run errands, meet someone for coffee, or layer under a decent overshirt without feeling like we have made a mistake.
