Polyester gets a bad reputation and most of it is deserved. Cheap polyester hoodies pill within a month, go shiny at the elbows, and have that unmistakeable synthetic sheen that reads as an afterthought rather than a choice. But performance polyester, properly constructed, is a different material entirely. It holds its colour, resists moisture, moves with you, and in the right cut looks considered rather than knocked off a warehouse shelf. We’ve been specifically looking for hoodies where the fabrication does enough work that the synthetic content becomes a feature rather than a compromise. Fit matters enormously here. A boxy cut in the wrong polyester blend looks like a sports kit with ideas above its station. The pieces we’ve pulled together wear more like a midlayer you’d actually want seen in. They work over a base layer on a cold morning or under a jacket when the temperature hasn’t decided what it’s doing yet. No apologies needed for any of them.
