Low rise jeans are back and we are not surprised. They never fully left, and the men who kept wearing them through the mid rise years knew something the rest of the wardrobe conversation was pretending not to. The problem is that low rise on the wrong body, or cut without real thought, looks immediately off. Too much thigh emphasis, a waistband that sits at an odd angle, legs that taper too aggressively and suddenly the whole thing reads as a costume rather than a choice. Vintage Jeans Worth a Place in the Rotation

There is something a new pair of jeans cannot fake, and that is time. The fading on a well worn vintage pair follows the actual shape of the leg that wore them. Most offices have relaxed enough that jeans are on the table, but that doesn't mean any pair will do.
