Cotton T Shirts That Hold Their Shape

Most t-shirts are fine on day one. That's the problem. By the third wash the neck has gone slack, the body has lost whatever shape it had, and something that cost decent money now looks like it came free with a conference registration. We've spent a lot of time thinking about why some t-shirts hold up and others don't, and it comes down to a few things: yarn quality, knit density, and how the collar is finished. A well made cotton t-shirt should look as good after fifty washes as it did out of the bag. It should sit properly under a jacket without bunching, and look considered on its own without trying to be anything other than what it is. We've been particularly interested in heavier weight options, around 200gsm and above, where the fabric has enough substance to drape properly rather than clinging. These are the ones built to last, and they look better for it.
