Most men’s wardrobes have the same problem at the top half. A few good shirts, some knitwear that’s seen better days, and a collection of t-shirts that have somehow survived well past their welcome. The result is that getting dressed becomes a habit rather than a choice, and the same combinations keep appearing on rotation whether they’re earning their place or not.

These are the tops we think are worth actually adding. Not filling space. Adding. The kind of piece you reach for because it works, not because it’s there. We’ve been looking at everything from considered basics that hold their shape properly to more textured options that do some of the heavy lifting on their own. Fabric quality matters here more than most men realise. A well made top in the right weight looks like an outfit. A poor one just looks like you got dressed.

These are the ones making it into our wardrobes first.
